Gale Mueller Whitman lives and works in Fort Collins, Colorado. She has been an independent contract illustrator since 1994, specializing in anatomical, surgical, editorial, and patient education applications. While her artwork maintains a rich, traditional hand-drawn feel, Gale employs digital tools of the trade to complete and deliver all images for your convenience.

Gale received her B.A. in Biology in 1988 from Hastings College, Nebraska. In December 1993, she received her M.S. in Biomedical Illustration from Colorado State University.

When she's not doing medical illustration, Gale can probably be found dancing with her husband, rollerblading, jogging, or out enjoying the Rocky Mountains.
